Beginning after Valentine's Day, on February 15, I will be the Star of the Week in my class. I am excited because when everybody tells Mrs. Howay, my teacher, what they want to write about me, I will write about something that nobody else wrote about. The special things I get to do that are bring in pictures to hang on the board, tell the stories that go with the pictures, answer questions from my friends, have someone come read to my class and get a special paper that says "You Shine!".
I can't wait for February 15!

That is great that you will be Star of the Week next week. What pictures and stories are you going to use? I am sure that everyone in your class will have nice things to say about you. I wonder how many stories will mention that you are the Reading Queen. I am so proud of you because reading is THE most important skill of all. If you are a good reader, you can do anything!
